"A decade-long effort to create a bike and pedestrian path from Chicago to Michigan could soon move closer to completion.
The Northwest Indiana Regional Planning Commission is seeking a federal grant to finish the remaining 30 miles of trail for the Marquette Greenway, according to the grant application. The Marquette Greenway project started in 2005 and 28 miles have been completed or have guaranteed funding."

The Apple Cider Century (ACC) is an annual one-day 15, 25, 37, 50, 62, 75 or 100 mile bicycle tour of the orchards, forests and wine country in and around Three Oaks, Michigan on the last Sunday in September. The ACC is a recreational and social tour for bicyclists. It is neither a race nor a test of stamina. It is intended that all participants ride the tour in a safe and intelligent manner.
